Balaklava Museum
In 1972, the Balaklava and District Historical society was formed and in 1975 it became a branch of the National Trust of South Australia. Early in 2004 the Balaklava group severed it's connection with the National Trust to become "Balaklava Museum Incorporated".

Now owned by the Wakefield Regional Council the maintenance and running of the Museum has been entrusted to the members of Balaklava Museum Inc.
The Balaklava Museum operates across two sites

Urlwin Park Agricultural Museum

Urlwin Park in Short Terrace was opened in 1986 and is home to the museum's agricultural collection which includes farming equipment, horse drawn vehicles, a replica of Ted Anders blacksmith shop and the historic "Corduroy Road".
